Office Space applies to more than just the typical office; "PC load letter?! What the fuck does that mean?!" and the like gets thrown around on the daily here in Afghanistan.

I agree. It feels pretty fucking enraging to read stuff like this when I'm deployed. Please ; do the right thing and get the authorities involved; those people could be the family members of service members currently overseas or even wounded veterans themselves.

You can't really go wrong with Ritter Sport. Even the Cornflake one is delicious!

I really like the Strawberry and the Yogurt ones, but due to a strange coincidence I tried the Cornflake ones and they actually are quite good, too.

I think that you bring up a good point about the nature of freedom and the use of military force, but I disagree about supporting the troops propping up an anti-human rights system. The military is a tool of national policy; its an incredibly visible and powerful one, but it's subordinate to the civilian government.

As an active duty service member, the lionization of troops bothers me for a lot of the same reasons. I think that part of it exists because there's such a large disconnect between the general population and the military now; most people I talk to don't know much about the military in general and I get the feeling

Kaepernick's crap out? He made the NFC Championship game in his first full season as the starter a year after making the Super Bowl. That's like saying that Russell Wilson flamed out at this point a year ago because he lost to the Falcons in the divisional round.

Never! And that isn't because I ate a ton of cheesecake and am fighting to stay conscious. Not at all.

What about team cheesecake?

Please tell me that's a Fire Birds reference.

That can't be right. She clearly nails her dad with the jersey!

I honestly never considered that possibility, and it now makes my cousin's grating online behavior that much more frustrating. That isn't your BMW! Your kids don't give a damn what kale is!

I see it too and it's incredibly frustrating. Even more so when it's in a garrison environment. What the fuck else is going on that you can't send your guys to get help and have them get better?

It's similar to the sigma behind seeking counseling and therapy in a way. There are still many soldiers who believe that counseling either doesn't work or will endanger their careers.

No love for The Waitresses?

Yeah, perhaps in the end it just comes down to people and how you get along with them. I definitely agree that college is one of those key phases when you learn so much about yourself and how you interact with others.

That's a very good point. At the risk of sounding petulant and arrogant though, I kinda feel like my experiences have made it harder to relate to a lot of my college-age/generational peers. I made it through college, joined the military, moved across the country and have deployed overseas; it's already hard for me to

Yeah, this exactly! I feel like they should at least be afforded the opportunity to legally drink as I try my damnedest not to talk (whine) about work.

Well, I'm 23 and I feel creepy as hell contemplating dating an 18-19 year old. I think that I've skipped young adulthood and went straight to curmudgeonly old age.

As a guy, I usually just put all my pocket stuff in the baseball cap I often fly with. It really just ends up being my phone, wallet, glasses, and boarding pass.
