I looooove vegemite and marmite. I need to stock up.
As an ex brit living in South Africa for more than 45 years, I have a Black belt in Marmite.
Vegemite/Marmite is truth. Literally takes half a pea-sized serving to blow your mind.
Not if you have larger than average feet. I wear a size 41 women’s shoes and even in Europe have trouble finding my size, and can just forget it in certain parts of Asia. I agree with always bringing 2 pair of shoes. You never know if you’ll break a strap, or whatever and can give your shoes a rest. It isn’t good for…
Deleting my reply. With the new presentation of replies I did not see that you had already been replied to.
Maybe just keep some cream at home for random cooking needs. And wine. :P
Well, skim milk is (supposed to be) fat free, so it sounds like skim wouldn’t work at all. Likewise, fat-free half and half. Go with whole milk.
“It actually has to with what’s in the milk. The stuff in wine that gives it its color, or the phenolic compounds, don’t like to hang out in water or other materials as much as they like to party in an organic, fatty phase—like you’d find in milk. So the coloring actually gets absorbed into the fat of the milk…
Love this. As I travel to Japan at decent intervals and need to bring gifts for friends/acquaintances, Trader Joe’s is a great go-to. During the Himalayan salt craze, Trader Joe’s pink Himalayan salt bailed me out quite a bit.
Suggestion: If you make your own bagels because none in Tokyo or the Midwest is up to one’s…
Very cool, I love hearing how innovative teachers are getting. Breaks my heart how the alt-right and middle-right have villianized teachers as “lazy union workers who can’t do anything anyway” ... It’s a joke, almost everyone has a “favorite teacher” or 10 from their past that helped them become a better person.
That seems like the smart career path. The teachers I know who have gone overseas and especially the English teachers seem to really enjoy it and don’t dread it
You posted a pic of one of my FAVORITE POTUS! That gets a star just because!
Had nothing to fall back on, but my undergrad was science, and I got lucky at an early Biotech company to get started doing half science half office stuff.
Actually pretty grateful I decided to give up on my dream of being a teacher. I miss working with kids but every teacher I know these days is dealing with this type of bullshit, and getting paid like a fast food worker.
I would have told her that being fair and balanced requires getting your news from more than just one source. You just can’t pick the one that agrees with your narrow views and live in a the vacuum of a echo chamber.
I am having a great time reading news with Facebook posts.
You say that, but we are still dealing with people asserting that the Earth is 6000 years old.
My condolences to his cousin Marvin.
Yeah I’ve had to deal w/ Anker once across the many reliable Anker products I own and they were great.
