Fascinating. Thanks for this. Adds to Mozart’s mystique.

True. The reasons movies carry the “based on a true story disclaimer” is because one of the nobles that did Rasputin in took on Hollywood in the early days-protesting what they got wrong in the movie. The noble felt he was being unrepresented / credited with what he accomplished.

Don’t forget the USSR tracked Trotsky to Mexico and did him in with an ice-pick in 1940.

Thanks for this article and the link to African-Germans. I recently became aware of the reparations bid of colonial Namibians against Germany.

Also see the ‘westernization’ of Australian aborigines and the forced separation into white homes- all for the good of the child. (Stolen Generation)

Australia used to look to (British) empire for cultural relevance. Post WW2 it has been worldish- but often the US.

It’s a pretty common thing and a go-to word. As a dual national I don’t usually here shithead in the US- but then again I don’t live on the mainland.

Hawaii never paid $5. Economy of scale, tyranny of distance and all that.

Given the ‘shithead’ phrase methinks he was / is Australian.

No, it’s Trump.

Dual national (AUS-US) living in Hawaii. Knew a helicopter pilot who would get similar weird questions.

Kind of thought the same thing.

Forget Ms. Barr. Tell us for about the man with 3 arms in the top photo.

Don’t forget the ‘export’ of the Confederate flag to Europe- as a stand in for banned Nazi colors. (gotta keep with the hate)

Have been watching The Americans and reading yahoo news of late.

Trolls were hyping the lack of security guards up last week on yahoo.

It’s like seeing Mrs. Incredible and a honey-pot scene from The Americans.

Once heard a story of ‘shoe collusion’ out of Sydney, Australia.

Ah, forgot about that ‘alchemy.’      :-)
