Yeah but that also depends on the quality. The blade runner opening sequence still looks freaking amazing, despite it all being tiny models. Same with Star Wars. The practical effects of the originals look miles better than the CGI of the prequels.
Practical will always beat Digital. the problem you have with digital is the total freedom. Everything becomes too perfect too flawless that it becomes too unreal. Sometimes you see scenes where a character changes from actor into cgi, or the other way around, and you can instantly see how flawless the movement…
