I disagree. Visually, it was just a big burst of blue light destroying a CGI city... it's far too easy to emotionally distance yourself from that. A big empty cgi pit reads like a blank slate.

I saw Winter Soldier for the first time a couple of days ago - I thought the first two thirds were really great, then the last act just sort of went a bit limp.

I love Doctor Who and I loved the Clockwork Robots, but I HATED this episode with a passion that borders on the insane! The writing was terrible and Reinette was such a awful character.
The End of Time is one of the worst regeneration episodes I've ever seen on Doctor Who and yet everyone seems to love it. RTD destroys any sort of dignity the Master ever had once again, the episode spends the last five minutes stroking RTD's ego by showing every character he created and even giving Rose A THIRD…
