I think you're vastly overestimating Fish. He's a child. He's not participating in some grand scheme to escape celebrity so he can focus on making games. He's stopped making games after throwing a temper tantrum because someone insulted him on the internet.

I too loved Dredd, Serenity, Edge of Tomorrow, and Scott Pilgrim..., but for me, this is one of my favorite movies of all time that I still feel is terribly underrated (EQUILIBRIUM):

That was the last scene of the second/all of the third one (Extinction). Then, at the start of Afterlife, they depowered her completely... but still had her doing ridiculous stunts. And then, at the end of Retribution, they re-powered her... oyyyyyyyy...

I seriously love the first Resident Evil movie without irony. I think it nailed what I wanted from such an adaption, especially given the budget they were working with (which obviously limits how many monsters you can get as well as the setting options).

Needs more zippers.
