Oh, we're Apple we don't make giant phones. It's just a gimmick.

Yeah I tried Monster, really enjoyed the music and story but as you said - too many tangents, got bored and then dropped it. Read spoilers online, that ending - lame?
I've been trying to get into anime this last year, but there hasn't been anything good. Can someone recommend a recent, mature and engaging series? I love Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon, however most new series seem to only exist for the purpose of fanservice :(
take a look at election results by demographic and tell me why I shouldnt just wait a few years for the far right to die off naturally
Stop... just stop. This is in line with the people that thought a limited nuclear conflict during the cold war would have been a good thing.
I swear, the next person I hear talk about a new civil war, I'm going to punch them in the balls. Man, woman, I don't care. Punch to the balls. Stop fucking mentioning this as a possibility and doubly-so a desired possibility. Are you fucking mental?
I'd like you to provide some sources that say civil war is good for the growth of a nation.
Not going to happen. Not when Russia and China are posed to swoop right in and exploit the worldwide economic destabilization it would cause. And the threat of those two other countries taking over the world is strongly bi-partisan.
If this isn't sarcasm, you're a fuckin' idiot.

Rather than destroying Star Trek's idealism, I see it more as challenging the assumptions behind 'the vision', and exploring it more fully. Asimov built up sets of rules then looked at ways they could be broken or twisted with the Laws of Robotics and Psychohistory - it doesn't mean that he was destroying the original…
"I am Dexter, psychopath extraordinaire. I require no regular human relationships.
My favorite episode of star trek ever, Garak my man.
I've accepted long ago that I prefer DS9 to Roddenberry's vision. He wasn't even okay with the plot of Undiscovered Country (which happens to be my favorite Star Trek movie).
No interpersonal conflict between the primary cast? No lasting changes unless a cast member unexpectedly leaves the show? That sabotages a lot of…
and that was why I loved it so much. Sisko dealt with real issues. All the characters did.
Midichlorians!
I don't understand the underlying logic for Rose's Libertarianism. "My mom's life was very difficult and she didn't die, so EVERYONE'S should be difficult, because I can't bear the idea of anyone having an easier life than my mom."
