Just keep in mind not all Moto phones have an LED notification. Or at least not one you can mess with too much. The Moto X has one but you can't really do anything with it.

Check the XDA link I put up. Same basic allegations were made there and they were dealt with by the mods, they were also responded to by the dev.

Go to Settings then Apps and then scroll over to All. Once you're there, find the app you want to "turn off" and just click on Disable. It'll give you a warning about disabling apps and affecting other things, just click Okay (or something to that effect).
