Lindsay did try to sleep with Michael that one time.

Speaking of Bryan Fuller creations, the pilot for Wonderfalls, Wax Lion, is also a great episode. Another one of those episodes like Alias's Truth be Told and Veronica Mars' pilot that introduces you to a great new actress. Now that I think about it that's also why I like the Felicity pilot so much even thought it…
If you happen to get your hands on Sepinwall's The Revolution was Televised he has a great history of Lost's creation. It's also a fantastic book on its own that looks at the creative forces behind some of the Golden Age's best shows, from Buffy to Breaking Bad.
I remember really liking it at the time, but after the lackluster follow-through I've basically expunged FlashForward from my mind. Maybe I should go back and give it another look.
Oh Ok. I think I misread your previous comment a bit. I totally agree with you that they are uninspired.
All great choices. I realized that you had answered further down but it was too late to change my post.
I guess they are not attempting to be advertisements given that these movies are iconic and have been released for years, but the point of a movie poster is to showcase the movie (their original intention is to sell), which a lot of these are too abstract to do.
The Veronica Mars pilot is excellent. Sets up the entire season so effectively, you only notice it in retrospect.
For some reason I always thought people agreed that Season 5 was Lost at its best, although Season 1 is another popular option.
What's on your list of best pilots, if you don't mind? Not challenging your assessment of the Lost pilot, just curious.
I think the Alias pilot is the one episode of television that I've watched more than any other. It has tons of great moments, including one of my favorite scenes of all time: when Jack comes to Sidney's rescue in the underground garage and she looks at him astonished and says "Daddy?"
The only one of these that is half clever is the one for Benjamin Button (on the website), otherwise they are utter failures as both advertisement and art.
No one cares because he's a pretty and a man.
What is this new trend of reporting tweets? This is non-news. C'mon.
Tear-jerking it is all the rage nowadays.
I'm so happy to see this get a great review. I read The Imperfectionists a couple of years ago and was worried that Rachman was going to drop the ball with this one. It's always nice to see great potential that doesn't turn out to be a fluke.
Does this mean you guys will finally review Review?
There was a WhiteHouse.gov petition to make R. Kelly's Ignition (Remix) the national anthem, so I don't see why we can't start one for McConaughey ourselves.
Danger and sexiness is something I probably wouldn't want to mix in real life, but on screen it works so well. Cassel also has the skill of making even his douchiest characters magnetic (see: Black Swan), which is always a bonus.
The problem with that is that Daniel Day Lewis is a wonderful actor so it would be easy to put aside his shitty music. I have never found Leto an engaging actor or a talented musician. I don't dislike him as a person because I don't know him personally, but I don't like his work. It's a choice based on personal taste.…
