One of my dreams is to see The Magic Flute performed live. Youtube videos are just fine for the time being but I really want to see someone do Queen of the Night live.

Morrissey: Why don't you just crash into this double-decker bus?
This. I still can't believe The Dissolve gave it a 5-star rating. Maybe mopey Joaquin Phoenix with a mustache is just not my cup of tea but I found the whole thing affected in a way that never allowed me to connect with the movie on any level (intellectual or emotional).
Molly Eichel still thinks Chilton's dead on Hannibal so I wouldn't put it past her.
I always feel bad asking people to spend time on something that might not be ultimately rewarding for them but if you find yourself interested and have some time to kill I would say try out the second season. It becomes much more serialized and the show's pace picks up considerably. Also, the show has a much more…
Same. Finally I find someone who loves "All I Need" as much as I do. The crescendo at the end is my favorite thing Radiohead's ever done.
I was surprise by Carrie's answer because In Rainbows is a bit of response to that music shouldn't feel like Calculus attitude she was talking about. In Rainbows is as human an album as they come and it's my personal favorite Radiohead album.
I felt the exact same way through the entire first season, but the second season really stepped up its game on all levels. The show is more confident now and Amell, who I found a weak link in the first season, really stepped it up in the acting department. Have you seen any of the second season?
My problem with The Corrections is that I don't love it but I don't hate it either, it just left me feeling very indifferent about the whole thing. I also don't find Franzen's writing to be particularly extraordinary which is tough for me. I can get through books whose subjects I find tepid based on the quality of the…
This is going to sound douchey, but I love all of Stephen's sections. In fact, I've only made it through Ulysses in its entirety once, but every time I feel like re-reading it I read the early Stephen chapters and then skip to when Bloom and Stephen meet again.
I disliked Franzen's The Corrections. I read the whole thing and got what it was trying to accomplish and still found it dull. It reads like what an academic thinks a great novel should be. I've read grocery lists that were more captivating.
I still can't talk about Rubicon without getting sad all over again. Same with Bunheads and Terriers.
Ophelia's a water-bender now. Also this finally becomes canon:
This is an awful idea. Retelling Hamlet in prose would remove so much of what makes it special, unless is 300 pages of back and forth dialogue between the characters.
An Education cured me of my crush on him, but I agree he's kinda hot.
Crossing over from lurker to commenter was either one of the best things I've done with my time or one of the worst. Still not quite sure which one. But welcome!!
Wait, Blonde Bunheads Bailey Buntain is in Faking It? That might be the thing that finally gets me to watch it. Awkward's been really awful this season so I might as well try this out.
Speaking of Channel 4, I'm so excited for the return of Utopia later this year. I finally caught up with it thanks to your recommendation!
If remember right he was also into make-overs and calling people "honey."
From the description it seems like they are going for the mixed approach, which I think has the potential to work well if this is a series instead of a movie (the AV Club is the first place I've seen calling this a movie, Deadline's calling it a drama series project). Either way, I hope they go diverse with the…
