I didn't necessarily mean that Marnie has become likable all of the sudden but I did like that she let her guard down to admit that she was lonely and needed some company. Even if, yes, it was an incredibly selfish thing to do. This coming from someone who has been on the Charlie-side of things. I can still understand

Even the little characterization done to some of the secondary cast in the first season works to great advantage in this episode. I am referring in particular to the scene between Marnie and Elijah which wouldn't have been as great without the three or four scenes Elijah had in the first season. I'm ignoring the

HIPSTERS!

Totally agree that it's a completely horrible idea. What I liked about the scene is that even if Marnie, who at times is the most rational of all characters in the core group, knows that it's a bad idea to go to Charlie for company she still goes to his place because it's better than spending another night alone. And

The scene towards the end where Marnie goes to Charlie's apartment and tells him that she needs to sleep by someone's side that night it's the first time that I have actually liked Marnie as more than just a character. The episode's MVP was once again Zosia Mamet who never fails to make Shoshana more than the 2D

The things you are complaining about in the scene between Skylar and Walter in this episode, have nothing to do with Gunn's performance and instead are writing and directing choices, which I personally found quite effective and consistent with the rest of the season. You can find these choices ineffective, but they
