I don't want to say much, but one of my immediate family members was sexually assaulted several years ago by a high-ranking Democrat staffer (not this guy) during a campaign event. Both of them were fired. Party higher-ups made it clear if charges were pressed, they would go nowhere. So this, while sad, is no surprise.

One of her first pieces here was that "in defense of Lena Dunham" thing and people went IN on her in the comments. So I can see why she'd be a little defensive after that. Lena is a lightning rod around here though so I'd have my helmet and flak jacket on before even mentioning her name.
