Reading your article ( a description of a video. . . Wtf is happening on jalopnik now), I’ll have to infer it was a CVT. The standards are awesome.

I’m glad to know even the staff get Kinja’d!

i give it better odds than faraday futures

So, it’s wrong when a cop assumes any African-American is a bad actor, but OK for you to assume that all cops are bad. Hypocrite.

First things first. that picture is NOT a 15 year old... maybe when he was 10.

So the car was driven fairly hard and the guy is coming up with excuses for a new motor. Couple that with his claim that he bought the car “from a dealer” last year, which makes it “sound” like he bought it new, but in fact, he’s the second or possibly third owner.

You’re gonna get hop-ons

This whole time I thought I was the only one who thinks the 11 is a complete mess, especially when the predecessors are so visually clean and perfectly proportioned.

I’m sorry, but the new DB11 is one fugly-ass styling mess. A complete mess. And it’s much worse in person than pictures. My son and I spied a metallic baby blue DB11 in Naples yesterday and was just an unbalanced visual dumpster fire.

Try this on for size:

“As an engineer, you should be aware, several compromises were made so that it can excel at what it was designed for: high speed desert running.”

David, I love your writing, and have learned a thing or tow about cars from your David Dissects videos, but I’m disappointed that someone so knowledgeable about vehicles overlooked some crucial facts about specialty vehicles.

To me, many conspiracy theories are showing the failure of the American education system. Of course the theorists will say the education system is brainwashing us and the like. I saw a picture once, on my cousin’s Facebook, of the military loading weapons on a plane. His statement was that it’s evidence of planes

just because you are paranoid, does not mean that they are not after you....

TL:DR...... Ford gave David a truck to use as a support truck. He got it stuck. He guesstimated the weight he was going to tow and came up with a hypothetical MPG figure he was expecting with achieve with no basis in reality. The truck did not meet his fuel economy expectations when towing an unknown weight over

This is what I’ve harped on before. WHAT SPEEEEED? No mention before, no mention now.

I’m curious about what speed you were towing at? If you were doing 70+ I can easily see getting below 10mpg. When we town my Miata behind a Expedition with the 3V 5.4L at 63 or so we get about 12-13mpg. Upping that speed to 70 would easily drop us to about 10mpg, and that’s towing a far more aerodynamic car.

What?

Retail really sucks in the US. Your job is to sell a lot and make money. They have a hot product and they are upset. It’s pretty ridiculous. YOUR WHOLE FUCKING JOB IS TO MAKE COFFEE AND YOU’RE MAD YOU HAVE TO MAKE COFFEE.

Aston Martin made a car that would allow them to continue making DBs and Vantages and special run hypercars.
