I used Amazon to rent books and with two shipping its amazing. I don't find the logic in buying a $200 Textbook that your only going to use for one class (Generals).

Honestly, The Modern UI is great for TouchScreen Devices. But with my laptop which is also touchscreen, I find that I use Windows Key + Q for opening up anything, so the Start Menu doesn't even phase me anymore.

Yeah I agree, but OOP is a whole different beast... so for starting out I think it could be left out. While JQuery is definitely awesome, but I think that learning the basics of JavaScript should be taught first.

I agree with you and your post on all .Net languages.

It has come a long way I think with jquery, node.js, backbone, angular, knockout, etc. I think its great but when I was in school, it was the language we started with and I've seen plenty of people struggle with it.
