Please tell me I won't have to wait until next October to watch this....

@nctrns: Right, because every random sheriff from Bumfuck, Georgia knows how to shoot a tank. They send them to a special Tank-Shootin' Academy, because it helps them with their law enforcement activities. Turns out its real simple, just like in the video games.

Heh. This is why I ride my bike, walk, and take the T whenever possible.

Its the Travelogue "of the Will"

Heh - it sort of reminds me of the first days of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The budget was so shoestringed (shoestrung?) that they never actually showed the "vamp faces" changing back into human ones.

@Steve Williams: How do you know your kids are smarter than you? I suspect a confirmation bias.

splicer from Bioshock, is my guess

Excellent! Now, where's my Invincible TV show??!

@reed: You do realize that, whatever your concerns, Frank Darabont only wrote/directed the first episode, right?

This sounds like the kind of project that China would do if we don't.

Poor Jane Espenson. Everything she touches turns to gold and immediately gets canceled.

@skywalker24: Well, Lucas actually did make jokes about how awful TPM was on the Colbert report. On the other hand, the Clone Wars tv series still features Jar Jar Binks as a recurring character.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, the prequels suck. On the other hand, Lucas knows the prequels sucked, and in fact they gradually got better. On the third hand... the Clone Wars. That TV series is wretched, even for a kids' show.

Giles could take all of those librarians

Joss Whedon should find M. Night and have Jayne Cobb punch him into a thin pasty paste.

@Evdor: They're increasing void ray damage - how is that a nerf?

Based on the behavior of the human race, and especially those best-suited to be in a position to change the patterns of human behavior that are central to this issue, I find it hard not to believe that millions, if not hundreds of millions, of people will die before any meaningful action is taken.

"Not enough space was spent on the aliens, either - instead we only got to see the creature in between the shoulders of other crew members. Why? Are we 3 feet tall?"

That's weird and vaguely sinister. Can anyone comment on the kind of developmental difficulties that one might encounter in this situation?
