@mkbruin: "auto securitizations saw defaults and losses rise right alongside their RMBS counterparts."

@mkbruin: Only if GM gets back into the subprime mortgage business, and someone pulls a Dr. Frankenstein with the market for subprime RMBS.

I know you're trying to be cute, Ray, but is it so difficult to explain that GMAC's mortgage arm created the billions in losses that sank GM? The car loans weren't the problem, and anyone who's paid attention to the car business should know it.

@06Limer: You don't have to watch child porn. Does that make it better?

I don't think the video clips were necessary. If someone read a description and wanted a snuff film fix, they could always google it.

This is at least a little more likely than Airbus making a profit on the A380 by 2030.

@Vexorg: LOL, but...yeah, probably right.

"That sucks for them, but when the official report comes out in a few months, it too will get its time in the sun. The story's just too big for it not to."

The A380 is "World's most complex aircraft"? If this isn't the dumbest thing written on the internets this week, it should be a finalist.

Remember Toyota's explanation of the Saylor crash? "As reported in the law enforcement investigation, the floor mat in the Saylor vehicle was not only improperly secured, it was incompatible and and incorrect for the vehicle."

"Enzo" and "pretty" in the same sentence? Had to happen eventually, I guess.

@skaspy: That was my first guess, too. GM manager taking his or her kid to orientation.

@Jeremy: From my view in the cheap seats, it is being blown out of proportion - but Apple has begged for this kind of blowback with their insistence over the years that their products "just worked" and were even "magical".

I don't have the talent for it, but this is begging for the Baghdad Bob treatment.

Matt, this isn't a political swipe - but that is a really dumb headline.

@TroyQueef: A lot of transport flights are outsourced to private carriers.

@cyclopticgaze: Having the planes lined up like this to taxi is part of a larger exercise (or operation) to get transport planes in and out in large groups. Get ten planes on the ground, load or unload, and get them all lined up and out in one group.
