I think it is one of those "everyone just needs to be on the same page" things. Not knowing what the other players are up to is fun. Trying to watch all the screens at once is another kind of fun. It just sucks when everyone decides not to look and someone is breaking the agreement.

They upped it too, as Maris became a far more cartoonish creation than Vera was, taking full advantage of the fact that she only existed in the viewer's imagination.

Scrooge is really into coinstarring.

That was a brilliant move. I remember being iffy on the idea of a Frasier spin-off when I first heard about it. It seemed a very unlikely concept to succeed, yet they did it perfectly.

I don't know. I went back and watched it on Netflix a few years ago. The show started when I was in my early 20s, so staying home and watching TV wasn't part of my routine. I didn't really get into it until late night reruns started.

It's what keeps the show from being the bad kind of cringe comedy. The main characters may irritate each other, but they all have a lot of affection for each other too. No matter how badly any of them humiliate themselves in front of strangers, they have friends and family that accepts them anyway. They'll still laugh

Early Cheers had a similar dynamic with Sam being a genuinely smart guy who just wasn't all the educated compared to Diane. At some point the writer's room started to forget that though.

When I was a kid I had a bedroom set that came with a flyer letting me know it was the same kind that Elliot had in E.T. That was real bragging rights.

One day variations on this joke will grow old for me. That day is not today.

That would fit. That assumes these people even exist and aren't an imaginary demographic created to give the impression that there were actual victim of Trader Joe's insidious marketing.

"Next week on Supper Club, we reveal the previously unknown connection between the Costco and Kirkland brands."

All grocery store brands are repackaged goods from other manufacturers. This shouldn't be a revelation.

The only reason they might not is that there is little reason to spoof Spicer now he has lost his job.

It's a not a valid criticism because people could tell what kind of festival it was by the artists that were playing. They didn't need a 20-word name for the festival to explain it. It was a festival organized by MacLachlan. People knew what it was.

If a sequel coinciding with the current vinyl fad doesn't result in a re-issue soon, nothing will.

Chariots of Fire was a even more boring than Breaking Away. That's how I tell them apart.

I'll definitely give you that one.

It's also an odd point in the show to make the comment about Oleanna. Yeah, she does drop the bomb about Joffrey, but she also spends a lot of time talking about how she just didn't understand what Cersei was capable of. She is saying she wasn't gansta enough to win.

Sure. I don't heap scorn on people for enjoying award shows. Mostly I wish that critics awards got the same level as attention, as they are more likely to actually give recognition to unappreciated projects, and they come from people less tightly bound to the business.

Thanks!
