They carry an enormous amount of smug disdain for people that really have nothing to hold over Marge and Homer at all.

I think you have lost the thread of the conversation. It's who is your favorite unlikable character. Maybe Aaron Hernandez is a worse human being, but unless he is @avclub-3b82b1d883a5bf2defbc7567e9815d96:disqus 's favorite NFL guy to watch lose, it doesn't matter.

It's certainly one of the places where the excessive length of the story is an issue, When Tywin first died, I was partly glad to see the fucker go, but there was a sense of unease that there it was leaving a dangerous power vacuum just when the White Walkers were near.

His charm is his greatest weapon. In the opening sequence, he is the one the locals are working with, not Indy. If he hadn't died in Raiders, it would have been easy to imagine a sequel where the he and Indy worked together in an uneasy alliance.

Thanks. I spend an embarrassing amount of time watching title sequences on Youtube. I am not going to say how many times I watched this video before moving down to the comments.

It's premium cable TV opening credits. They have almost a full, ad-free hour to play with. so they can get away with these long credits.

Oliver is annoying too, but I find it easier to tolerate as he doesn't always go for the most obvious targets and there is a lot of serious research behind the jokes. I don't really ever feel like learn much from Bee's show.

I guess…

"Peele would be an attractive candidate for the studio for sure, which, if it’s smart, is hoping to avoid the whitewashing controversy that’s plagued big-screen anime adaptation Ghost In The Shell"

Those are both entirely plausible scenarios. To add one more, I suppose Oliver has already encountered the Lenny form on the Astral Plane, that might factor in too.

The phrase actually originated in a monologue that Oliver was giving to entertain himself in his ice cube. Phrases uttered on the Astral Plane have a greater weight, frequently manifesting on the Prime Material Plane and becoming memes.

It did seem kind of odd that the Shadow King would have the same appearance for Oliver, but hey, I'm going to complain about Aubrey Plaza sticking around on the show next season.

You don't need to make this wait harder for me, you know!

I thought it was greatly unfair what happened to Oliver as well, but then I realized that it means we get Jemaine Clement as a supervillain next season, and I can only be so upset about that.

Reading this article, I was amazed Fallon has only been doing The Tonight Show since 2014. It seems like so much longer.

Since they are splitting the child and adult stories into two separate movies, rather than jumping back and forth, they almost have to make the second movie feel more like a less eventful rehash of the first movie. Padding out the second movie gives them a good excuse to have a lot of historical flashbacks too.

It did feel wrong the way they played Pennywise in the drain as a jump scare for the kid. It's been awhile since I read It but I seem to remember him taking the presence of the clown in the storm drain in that manner of fact way that little kids often do. It's scary for the reader because the kid isn't scared enough.

Along that line, I was receiving art at a gallery for a student exhibition today. One of the artist apologized for the generic title for her painting, "Girl with Green Eyes". It told her she was a painter, not a writer. The whole point was to communicate without bothering with words, so she shouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I felt pretty bad about the whole thing. I between Australia and Kuwait, I had been around geckos most of my life, so I'm not really sure why I suddenly got the idea to keep one as a pet anyway. It was just a dumb idea all around.

When I lived in Kuwait as a kid, I caught a gecko and put it in a jar. I then realized I needed to feed it, so I went outside and started gathering ants in another jar. These were big, juicy ants too. I was sure they would make a good meal.
