I'm sympathetic, but this is just the "real world." We can post thousands of stories of people that were promised promotions and better opportunities if they paid their dues. They won't be as well-written as this one, but will otherwise be the same plot.
Me, I switched back to the classic, white Apple Pro Keyboard (and even the older Pro Mouse because it's reliable) because it really was the most comfy and enjoyayble one. Of course, it makes some noise when typed on… but that's not a problem when people aren't around. :3
