Agree completely about games needing to be transferable. That’s the dealbreaker for me. But I don’t understand your fps comments. Latency and fps have nothing to do with one another. You can have 240fps and 20ms latency. They’re not related.

It’s not meant to move x amount of people. It’s meant to move Teslas. This constant impulse to compare it to regular subway trains misses the point

They’re just positioning themselves for when self-driving cars become viable. At that point they’ll own or subcontract their own fleets and they’ll have hundreds of millions of people who already have the app downloaded and the brand recognition.

Comparing this to a subway is wrong is so many ways. It solves an LA problem for people who are already in their cars and are never not going to be in their cars. The likelihood of living near a subway station and having your destination be walking distance from a subway station is extremely low.

Being honest, I gotta say kudos to Gawker/Kinja for covering this story over the years.
