io9 is total Marvel fanboys, man. They crap all over DC and it’s a conspiracy.
Ah... Reactionary reshoots. Always a great way to make a movie. A lot of the problems with the movie really do sound like an executive desperately trying to win back an audience.
I thought it sucked because Batman was a homicidal super villain until he finds out that Superman’s mom has the same name as his mom.
This is our life now. A million celebrities absolutely no one has heard of, getting sponsorships and making bank and being famous but only to to a subset of people on the internet. I’m very scared.
*Looks at picture of Chris Wood*
They better keep the original DuckTales theme. I don't remember dick one about that show but I sure as shit can sing the theme song from memory.
Why are they doing this to her???????? Just because she is a black woman who is in Ghostbusters????? I don’t understand. Who are these people?????????? It scares me to think that I could know one of them and not know it.
Yeah, yeah... maybe this will be good, maybe not, but what I do know for sure is that the greatest Stephen King adaptation yet isn’t from a Stephen King novel at all:
Riri Williams?
She’s gonna put in work, work, work, work, work
*shows myself the exit*
Or maybe it’s merely representative of how such a shining example of humanity can come from anywhere? Much like how a merely fictional character can be representative of such integral ideals of a society.
No. Steve Rogers was born and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan....just like his co-creator, Jack Kirby which is why Roger Stern and John Byrne did that during their all-too-brief but perfect run. Seriously, if you haven’t read this you are missing one of the best Cap runs ever. And I mean EVER.
is it x
You seem to be under themisaprehension that Apocalypse was based on the Age of Apocalypse in some form.
I like to imagine there’s an alternate universe where Singer made a decent X-Men 3 and Ratner made a dumb but fun Superman movie.
Blame DiDio. He said that it was “myopic” to keep the Vertigo characters separate rather than reincorporate them into the DCU, because it was too “niche.” This from the same guy who turned down Paul Pope’s proposal for a Kamandi revival, because DC doesn’t do comics for twelve-year-olds, but forty-five-year-old men.
Tom Brevoort is so damn sane. Perhaps there is an element of calculation, but he sounds like a person rather than a mouthpiece in his interviews. His answers sound like answers instead of miniature press-releases.
I’m sorry, I have to say something. I’m a Bernie supporter, and a longtime Jezebel reader, AND I was there in the room. I shot some videos that have been aired on major networks, and I actually have a relatively neutral perspective. Could you please interview me for an alternate view of what happened, instead of just…
Considering they’ve rebooted their line twice in 5 years leads me to believe the upper management at DC Comics are just as clueless about the characters as Snyder and WB.
It turns out Jimmy Olsen is going to be retconned into Solomon Grundy, and killed in the first 10 minutes of the next movie.
