Once the scientists figure out how to travel between parallel universes, I want to visit the one where John McTiernan directed The Rock.

That makes sense. It's gross and horrible, but it makes sense.
Such a weird convention, especially in terms of gods. If the world and everything in it was created by a deity, it only makes sense that said deity was female. I mean, they're naturally gifted at creating life and all that. Pardon the gross oversimplifications that follow.
Yeah, aunt/uncle involvement and paternal involvement are in no way mutually exclusive. Excluding the father from his own children is messed up, in much the same way that our own rigid, ritualistic, judgmental conventions are messed up. A double standard can be the opposite of a different double standard, and they…
I got buzzed by a harbor seal while scuba diving in Monterey Bay a couple years ago.
I guess OLED displays makes plasmas redundant, or something like that. Individually illuminated pixels are definitely a good thing— when I finally replaced my decade-old Dell 1024x768 CRT monitor with a 1080 LCD, well…laugh it up at how long I kept using a squarish CRT, but it killed the newer LCD in terms of color…
But isn't HDR just an ill-defined industry standard for "has better contrast and black level than a typical LCD display?"
Some FM radio stations replay decades-old Casey Kasem Top 40 countdowns. The show from June 1976 might have a few classic-rock hits, and the occasional unjustly forgotten gem, but for the most part it's crap. Good art and entertainment definitely outlasts the filler.
*Weeps tears of joy at seeing rational thought win on the internet*
Yeah, how are game companies getting worse at packaging and presenting their lovingly detailed lore? The codex in Mass Effect was nice and straightforward, and the ease with which I could make sense of its universe was one of the main reasons I loved that series so much.
I just started DA:I last night. It does feel like the kind of game where the scope is more burdensome than enticing. I'm going to need to kick my completionist habit if I'm going to get any enjoyment out of it. So far, though, the mechanics feel just daunting enough; I'm having fun figuring the combat out, and I…
I don't think you've seen the show in question.
So did Theon get to keep his balls or not? It's mostly logical to take the pillar and the stones together, but Ramsay was going for degradation, and urinating on your own scrotum several times per day is really more degrading than being neutered.
OKAY
Seriously, folks, click the link. SNOW LEOPARD BUBBLE BATH
It's my general understanding that the "cute" qualities of baby animals are products of evolutionary necessity— e.g. your brain grows less than any other organ, and it takes a big head to hold a disproportionately big brain— and finding them cute is the real adaptation. If you think your own offspring are cute,…
We're all making fun of the guy for focusing on his Twitter-tantrums at Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep instead of his new job. We don't need to do the same.
Let's remember that Drumpf is entering office with an approval rating well below his percentage of the vote. His temper isn't helping his cause. When the poor get poorer and ISIS gets stronger under his Fearless Leadership, he won't have anyone's misguided optimism about job creation to hide behind and he'll look…
Okay, I guess it's unfair to lump Mr. Lee's actions in with the threats and racist insults that drove Jennifer Holliday into hiding. I just think we need to focus our well-qualified vitriol on the actual threats here. Targeting performers just seems petty to me.
