Ack, you're basing your opinion of Monaco on the singleplayer? Monaco's singleplayer is like an unnecessary grafted-on multiplayer mode, only singleplayer. Get some friends that have it (at least two, ideally three) and get a team going. That's clearly how it was meant to be played. I've got both versions under

Well I'd appreciate it if I did.

There's more good stuff in WY if you know where to find it. A couple hours north (plus several hours of rugged off-trail hiking) north of the sagebrush and gas refineries of Rawlins, you have this: https://lh5.googleuserconte…

Some years ago, the Simpsons web site had a flash version of Billy Graham's Bible Blaster. Inexplicably, winging a heathen seemed to be effectively identical to hitting one dead center.

"RPG light" is about right. The highest praise I can give the series is that either of the first two would be a good choice if this site did a Gateway to Geekery on RPG's.

Fable: most engaging combat of the series (which is admittedly faint praise), fun character building, questionable morality mechanic, well-executed tutorial that nicely represents the game to come. Best of the series, in my book.

"I've seen so many cool photo-finishes. Whoosh, zoom, am I first? Yay!"

Best part of the Biathlon Relay: forgetting how to breathe while watching Bjorndalen crack off shots as fast as his index finger would allow, hitting every one dead center.

Not being as good at hockey as Canada seems like a minor failing if ever there was one. For me, the biggest disappointment was that the women's team couldn't even put on their forced for-the-camera smiles as they accepted their silver medals.

Yeah, that bothered me too. When Helene Olafson went down shrieking on the boardercross track with her knee barely attached, they at least acknowledged that she was suffering. You know, after broadcasting her screams worldwide. Maybe they didn't realize how badly he was hurt after he skied down on his own two feet?

YES! More discussion of the mechanics of the sport, less inane banter. How to synchronize a twizzle, why speed skates have foot-long blades, that sort of thing.

I think she's very pretty on the rare occasions you see her without makeup. On the ice, when she's painted corpse-white with raccoon eyeshadow, she looks inhuman. She needs a makeup artist with a little restraint.

Speaking of biffing it, who else is going to be hearing Norwegian boarder Helene Olafson's screams in their sleep from now on?

Watching the interviewer salt Bode's wounds was not good television. It was like poking a roadkill raccoon with a stick until its bloated guts leaked. I wanted to take a baseball bat to the interviewer's kneecaps.

While I was delighted to see a medal go to an ethnic mutt from a country most people can't find on a map, it was pretty anticlimactic. He aced the free skate mostly by not falling too much.

Aw, it's not that bad. Sure, the lift at Perfect North drops you at the edge of a cornfield so you can ski down 400 vertical feet of half-melted manufactured snow, and the only food available is school-quality pizza…okay, it's pretty shitty. Hasn't stopped me from having fun there, though. And I guess it's taller

My crappy laptop (craptop!) isn't quite up to spec for Civ V, so I popped my Civ cherry this evening on Civ IV, courtesy of Humble Bundle. So far I'm winning on idiot-level difficulty, but I probably shouldn't have picked a fight with Japan so soon.

Eminem- celebrity from Detroit. Sensible fit.
Eastwood- ostensible American icon who owes his success to Italian money. I doubt that's what they were going for, but it works.
Dylan- umm…okay.
