Seeing lots of “I’m a Yankees fan, but...” and “I hate the Red Sox, but...” on the internet tonight. Cool, man, you don’t want the human beings who arbitrarily wind up playing for teams in a different geographic location than you to literally die. Awesome, that’s very noble.

I guarantee Bumgarner has said “so much for the tolerant Left!” at least once in the past three years.

Am I wrong in being extremely weird out about how the article brushes off Amy Heckerling actions? I mean all this criticism of Lorne Michaels is more than valid and he should be call out about it but the article kinds of skips over that all that Kattan alleges happened, did so because Heckerling propositioned him and

Are you really arguing you can’t have an exploitative agreement with someone? And the dude started when he was barely an adult. It’s easy for fresh 18 and 19 year-olds to get taken advantage of, especially when it’s for a quote-unquote “dream job.”

Or, you know: people value their time and the potential rewards they can get from the feedback loop of Arena far more than they value potentially wasting their time doing something that they don’t find fun.

Per the Comprehensive Rules, Section 104.3a, players may concede the game at any time, which causes them to immediately exit and lose the game. See also Section 800 for details regarding cards and permanents owned or controlled by a player who has now left the game. While sometimes considered “impolite”, it is not

I mean if that is true, maybe you shouldn’t have based your monetization strategy, therefore player progression, therefore game balance as a whole on selling loot boxes to kids.

Someone crunched the numbers during the Beta, but it basically boils down to stuff like:

@Hot Take - Rome Was Bad

He seems a bit like a tool but I agree with his overall stance. Loot crates are a transparently devious scheme that taps into the base instincts of people, often times people with poor money management skills.

I have to pile on here. It says in the article “only a small percentage of those deaths happened while the babies were in the car.” Anyone who’s used a car seat would know that the seat is less reclined while driving but what you do have is a parent that is aware of the situation.  Clearly this is not a problem with

Stop using these bullshit clickbait headline articles. Especially ones that show how poor your data analysis skills are, and inadvertently reveal the fact you probably shouldn’t be writing these fearmongery articles (let alone editing the work of others...).

As others have stated, the research summary is bad. The

Ms. D’Anastasio, this is like—one of the bog-standard things of MtG, going back for forever. People who know how to play the game—and a lot of people who think they do—know whether or not they can win against a certain type of deck, a certain tempo of play, a certain set-up they have or their opponents have; and MtG:

People just concede to not waste time if the game is already lost from their perspective. Plain and simple. It also happens in real life you know.

Knowing when to concede is probably the 2nd most important skill in magic. The first being how to mulligan properly. If you play 2 hours every day and play out every game even if it is hopeless. You will probably end up wasting 2-3 hours every week which could earn you more wins. Time is money after all.

The misinterpretation of the data from this study is so bizarre that I can only surmise that you’re willfully trying to deceive people. To what end, I’m unsure, but it’s astounding that you were able to publish this. Shame on you.

This is an astonishing misinterpretation of the data in that study.

I don’t follow esports and I don’t know dick about who Faze clan is and how they treat their people but based on the numbers they put out it doesn’t seem like he got an especially bad deal.

Why did you resort to name calling? Why are you so quick to jump to FaZe’s defense after reading a Tweet? Surely in a way, FaZe could be considered a victim here.
