I don’t feel like this is the best article to express this specific concern, since one of the alleged predator is actually a woman.

Interesting article to be sure because it makes you think. This is a product of the era we’re in right now where people have these little celebrities that they feel really close to because they can send them comments or donations and talk in the chat and be responded to in real time. You’ve got “titty streamers” who

A gamer’s boycott is when you dramatically complain about a game threatening not to buy it and then buy it anyway.

“This affects me in absolutely no way, but it’s time to boycott!”

I don’t understand why people so in love with Steam (and, apparently, “competition”) are railing against the Epic Store, when they should be directing their oppositional voices towards Steam itself?

Steam users also like to forget that it sucked for a long time too. It took years to get even distantly close to what folks use now. Insanely short memories, or just stanning out of reflex, I can’t decide.

Pack it in, people. We just found the worst take here.

“What do I care what the developer makes?”

Perhaps because games are not made for free? AAA titles take anywhere from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to make.  The revenue from Game 1 funds the development of Game 2.

Boycott means “I wait 2 weeks before I preorder”.

The only thing that would do is give “Gamers” something else to bitch about.

Let’s review a non-comprehensive list of things that lead to Internet Gaming Assholes taking up virtual pitchforks:

1) Non-white, non-male, and/or non-straight characters
2) Non-white, non-male game developers
3) Console exclusives
4) Loot boxes

Lol, as if gamers know what a boycott is.

Honestly, I had no idea Division 2 was an Epic Store thing... I got it ‘free’ with a new AMD graphics card.  It was also offered with AMD CPUs the last couple months.  Not sure how much of the total “sales” those equal, though.  It’s not like anyone puts out transparent numbers. :/

It also reminds me of pirates who whine that they can’t steal a game as soon as it’s released, as if they are “owed” something. They’ll claim games are too expensive, so they pirate them. Yet if they just waited a year or 2, they could buy the game for $5-$10 with the season pass (and if you can’t afford $5 for a

I bet your farts smell like roses, too, right? Jesus, you’re full of yourself.

Yep thats why Division and Metro have been selling like hotcakes on PC.

Good god look at all the Steam bros coming out whining all over the internet AGAIN. Jesus christ how can you have such ridiculous allegiance to some corporation that doesn’t give a crap about you?

So I assume you want it this way instead:
Epic: “We’re going to open our own store to promote competition!”
Epic: “Let’s just offer developers more money from their sales, but literally do no other moves that might bring attention to our new store front.”

You all act like downloading the Epic Store requires you buy an

Moronic gamers: “I don’t know what a competitive market looks like.”

Exclusives are a way of creating competition between storefronts. Epic has drawn a line in the sand labeled 12% and now expects Steam to step up if they want games to be drawn back to their storefront. 30% is an INSANE royalty rate and they only got away with it because there wasn’t an alternative. Now there is.

The movie theater chain, not the TV channel

Its actually nearly 47 hours (because only a handful are under 2 hours) for whats out including Captain Marvel and adding Endgame comes to roughly 50 hours. The rest of the time would be for breaks to allow the next film to be set up and for people to get concessions, which would be roughly 25-30 minutes each. Whenev
