A gamer’s boycott is when you dramatically complain about a game threatening not to buy it and then buy it anyway.

I don’t understand why people so in love with Steam (and, apparently, “competition”) are railing against the Epic Store, when they should be directing their oppositional voices towards Steam itself?

Steam users also like to forget that it sucked for a long time too. It took years to get even distantly close to what folks use now. Insanely short memories, or just stanning out of reflex, I can’t decide.

Perhaps because games are not made for free? AAA titles take anywhere from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to make.  The revenue from Game 1 funds the development of Game 2.  

Boycott means “I wait 2 weeks before I preorder”.

The only thing that would do is give “Gamers” something else to bitch about.

Exclusives are a way of creating competition between storefronts.
