@pettiblay: I don't think you're going to get anywhere with the "financial inconvenience to others" angle on this.

Sure, that's what I meant... and I can't spending another $70 for another case when I already have an Otterbox case. shrug.

Only costs a bit more than Otterbox, looks to be about the same dimensions, and is waterproof. I'm somewhat envious (having already bought an Otterbox case, which is an excellent case otherwise).

@stamp.your.foot: Probably would depend on how permanent you wanted the installation. Grout, clamps, screws, etc.

@Absent Blue: Another vote for otterbox... which is also a lot thinner/more usable for most people. I haven't thrown mine 50ft, but it has survived several 4 foot drops off the counter onto the tile floor.

If the point of Jesus's post was to show us some of Tesla's neat patented ideas, this video was distractingly bad at doing so. If the point was to show us the video and wrap a post around it, I am left to wonder why. It's just not ready for showing to a general audience.

Speaking as a CG professional, that was horrible. Models were adequate, but animation, textures, lighting, cinematography, choice of music, editing... even the idea behind "here's what tesla did, here's what it could be like in a hundred years" = bad. Just spend more time showing us the original models, explain them

@snownpaint1: In part 2 of this interview, snownpaint1 tells the sad tale of his early years of experimentation.

@SSgtTEX: Except not so much. Paying someone for something establishes a clear relationship/connection with them, makes them your contractor for a job. Wikileaks has no affiliation or communication with Anonymous. This is more like failing to be sad when you see someone picking on the playground bully.

@Manly McBeeferton: But that just looks like a dent in a metal surface with the image of a galaxy sweeping past it. Where did you get this image? Is it really an astronomical image?

@aec007: I've wondered about this, since the time reference you'd experience as you approached would also change, so is gravity a time-based thing? As in, is it 1grav/sec, so if your perspective of a second is suddenly the equivalent of a millenium, would you then not actually notice increased gravitational effects?

@EljhHck: Yeah, coming from a CG animator standpoint, I think everything but the guy flying back is real. I just don't think he would have flown backwards. Knocked off his feet, maybe, staggered backwards, sure. But hurled across the room in a straight line? Unlikely.

@leGodt: At which point it is a 2D printer.

@SkipErnst: a 1D printer? How can you tell if it printed anything?

@Margatron: I take it they didn't already have that in the article summary when you posted this?

@Grindhouse Murders: A good upright can sound far better than a baby grand. Baby grand has to make compromises than an upright doesn't.
