Yeah, I played Betrayal for the first time recently with my sister and brother in law, who are not gamers and seemed incapable of grasping the rules but agreed to test play it with me so I could possibly bring it to an open play if I can ever get over my social anxiety.

No that's what I meant. By "new to DnD", I meant to all this shit. I work for <redacted> and am well aware that DnD has different editions, but pathfinder was always more mysterious.

I haven't seen too many of his movies, but I'd fall in the vastly side. They're weirdly plodding and still manage to come across as bizarrely simplistic even when trying to be nuanced.
