They do prosecute them, but it’s multiple agencies involved so you can imagine how well that works.

*sigh*. I won’t say too much, other than I work for the FAA and there are now two inspectors in my home office doing investigations FULL-TIME into nothing but poorly behaved passengers. And that’s only for one airline. Fortunately, my workload keeps me from having to deal with those cases, but still...

Or, in the case of aviation, deliver the work in double the estimate and still look pretty decent, comparably.

Nah, they bitch, whine, and throw tantrums, but in the end the only ones who actually stick to their guns are old guys about to retire anyway along with the occasional whackjob tiktok nurse. Look at the numbers: at United, only 232 out of 67000. 

And it’s not like democrats in control at the moment will pass anything constructive. They can’t even get the sure-win infrastructure bill to a vote with bipartisan support due to the kids throwing tantrums.
