so whadexityouoffa? you are clearly from jersey, have heard the joke before and know it to be true.

true story, I was at the NCO club back in the day and a guy was talking about being from jersey, so I went over to him, and said, in my best fake joizey accent “Hey! You fom Joizey? I’m fom Joizey! Whatexityouoffa?” and

Speed Limits are just a suggestion -especially on weekends.

This is the most accurate statement ever made on this website , and should be the first paragraph before this article starts. This website has turned into brochure experts instead of the real world experiences it was built on, as someone else who has driven this road many of times and many others far better than it

It’s not even the greatest road in New Jersey.

Ah, yes, one of two roadways in NJ that elected officials foisted tolls upon the general public with the promise the tolls would be removed once the roads were paid for.

I grew up in New York and had relatives in Jersey so I used to log a lot of miles on I-95. I think of the NJ section as encapsulating everything bad about Jersey, from the stench of the Meadowlands and the oil refineries the the high tolls big potholes and bigger hair (this was roughly 83-93).

My family always jokes that it's free to enter but you have to pay to leave

Ah yes, the New Jersey Turnpike. Where a toll taker would skim off one of the quarters you just gave him and tell you straight-faced that you counted wrong.

Yeah, I’m not so sure about that. NJ resident here. The greatest thing about the NJ Turnpike is that it is a relatively straight shot between Philadelphia and New York City. Think of it as the flyover road akin to skirting middle America between New York and Los Angeles.

It’s not even the greatest road in New Jersey.

The greatest-est road to ditch a body. Which I  am sure there should be many.

the mating call of new jersey:

Counterpoint:  287 northbound leaving NJ, since you don’t have to pay a toll.
