@cygnae: I have had a popcorn hour for a few years...its small...I put in a terabyte hard drive...it does does torrents and usenet downloading, has a customizable interface (admittedly not as nice as XBMC, but still pretty functional). It can grab media from pretty much any PC or the NAS in my apartment.

I have been doing this with SilentPrint monitoring a "To Print" folder in Dropbox for a while. This solution seems to work just as well.

@Venix: There was a cool little app called Sendlink that was available a few years ago. You would drag your files/directories into the app and it would create a link. You could then email the link or post it somewhere and once the other person clicked on the link, it would download the file (or open the directory)

Been using Lazy Car for months now...great little app. Click on the widget, it turns on. Incoming calls can go to auto-answer, auto-answer with delay or auto-answer by SMS. Text messages can be auto-answered or read-out loud as well.

Jeremy Boyle did something like this on his Songs from Guitar Solos record ten years ago. He took famous guitar solos from Kiss, Van Halen, Black SZabbath, AC/DC, Led Zepplin and Jimi Hendrix and slowed them down to make some pretty great ambient music.

Two things...I couldnt ever get the "scripts" to work so I poked around and found shutter....a MUCH better program and interface. Works great for locking down, shutting down and a variety of other things. You can also run shell commands from the web interface...very cool as I created several .cmd files to start

Has anyone figured out what needs to be done to get the scripts to work remotely? No FAQ or support at the site. I can make cmd files and execute them and they work. I can even execute them via the "predefined scripts" option on my PC....however, when I try to execute them remotely though the web interface, nothing

One tip is to be completely set up at least 30 minutes before your advertised start time with everything marked. There will be people waiting even then and trying to mark things while people are browsing is a hassle. Also, the cheapest people show up early so be prepared to get offered 25 cents for something marked

I use the minimize to tray firefox extension...that way, the window can be closed, but stays open in the task bar. Very useful if you want to have one instance of firefox streaming media while working in another. Or if you want to close firefox quickly and restore it quickly later and not have anything in the taskbar.

I have been using Sendlink for years...does the same thing except there is no website to visit. You open Sendlink, drag and drop files or folders into a box, they are assigned a URL and you can email or send out that URL, and whoever clicks on the URL will have access to the files and folders which will be pulled

Virtual Edit.

If I was in college, I would be all over Soulseek and using programs like Sendlink. Soulseek has the best music, and sendlink is a great way to send files by sending someone a link that downloads it direct from your PC...blazing fast.

I have been using PDANet from [junefabrics.com] for years on my Palm 650...I use it a lot and have never heard a peep from Sprint.

Yodlee is easily one of the most perfect web applications on the internet and it has been around for years and years. It's the only thing I can think of that I use regularly that is so close to perfect that I cant think of any ways to make it better.

I am just starting to be an on-time person. It took my boss making an issue about it to get me off my ass...it isn't easy and it still makes no sense to me why it is such a big deal with some people, but I have done it by doubling the estimated time that I do anything...the drive to work, the drive to meet my gf, the
