Been there threatened to walk, got the loan that I actually could qualify for. Always know your credit score beforehand and try and get a pre-approval on a loan from your bank or credit union.

Now the really good dealers will not do this, but I am talking the very top percentage of them. I went to one in Cullman Al a

My dad has a 2006 (I think) Accord that he claims is still peachy at 275K. It is if you ignore that it skips 3rd, the driver seat leather is demolished, the speedometer doesn’t work, and the turn signals don’t work. It drives, but it’s not in great shape and he has zero plans of selling it when he’s done with it. He

The problem is that there isn’t a sticker or other identifying item to help you tell the difference between the good and bad salesmen (other than the thin mustache and hair gel). For that reason it is always best to go in with your guard up and ease up when proven otherwise. Good salesmen shouldn't be mad at the

That is fair and a good clarification. But I’ve gotten dozens of emails from folks who bought a used car was not issued a title, dealer closes shop and they are SOL trying to get the car registered.

Your experience with the RR and the CarMax warranty was the reason I purchased the same warranty for my 09 Mercedes E-350 4Matic. I even had to use it for the first time just yesterday for a CV boot! Total cost would have been $856 but MaxCare ftw! Thanks Doug!

A lot of reasons. Questioned competency is certainly one. It’s also harder to get an appointment at CarMax and they don’t have the same quality of loaner car. More importantly, the closest CarMax to my house is nearly an hour away — more with traffic. Land Rover dealer is 15 minutes.

WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT? I have scoured eBay for this sort of thing in the past.

How about this?

Well, give it time.

Yes, that’s the sad thing. The warranties have certainly gotten way more expensive in the last few years.

That’s a Sport! I would kill for a Matchbox version of an ‘03-09 full-size Rover though.

Smooooooooth ride, baby.

I test drove one a few weeks ago and was very impressed. No promises, but it’s at the top of the list! (Along with a newer Range Rover!)

Thirty-three thousand miles from now, it’ll make a nice down payment on a Toyota.
