The leg-shaving question is a deal-breaker for me. It doesn't even matter whether I choose to shave my legs or not, if someone thinks I have an OBLIGATION to, we're not going to get along.

I'd never heard of it until now, either, and I'm an American!

I think I'd skip the salt, but the pineapple and cottage cheese combo is great. Especially if you use crushed pineapple. Something about the juice does something really good to the cottage cheese.

I'm with her on the Jell-o and cherries and pecans, and could even tolerate the lettuce leaf, but that mayo is going WAY too far.

I get where you're coming from. Without the context of constant objectification and externally-forced wariness that a lot of women deal with on a daily basis, it can be hard to see how something like that can be insulting or even threatening. I think what's important is that you outgrew it, largely because you were

I find it saddening that you feel that way, but I understand it. So much—TOO much—emphasis is placed on what a woman's body looks like :(

It must be very nice living in your friend's world.

Ugh. I hope his wife leaves him (if she hasn't already).

Um...his attraction to you (or lack thereof) doesn't negate the fact that his behavior was CLEARLY sexual harassment and incredibly unprofessional. Ugh. HE should have been the one fired!

I don't think Kinja accepts regular html tags. I saw someone's <i> </i> right out in the open in another comment.

It's sad that blaming and dismissing victims is so prevalent that your friends feel the need to preface such stories that way. It *should* be obvious that harassment isn't flattering, but some people just don't get it :(

Oh, wow. So he was stupid as well as being a sexist assbag.

Wow. Honestly, he should have been fired. I wouldn't want someone that unprofessional representing my company.

Right. And it's the uncertainty of it that makes it both easier to (try to) ignore and harder to report/prove. Which is probably what the harassers count on.

Wow, that sounds like a really scary situation. I bet he had a habit of it, too :( I hope he got caught.

Wow. He sounds really childish. Is there a possibility they'll fire him (as they should) if you report him again?

According to Planned Parenthood's own website, abortion provides only three percent of their services, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for evidence from the troll.

Considering abortion makes up only three percent of Planned Parenthood's services, I'd say they'd be doing fine without it.

I agree. It's definitely a quality-of-life issue, and I'm okay with it being covered. But, as you say, it coverage needs to be fair. And it isn't.
