You should tell Adam Richman! Apparently he's looking for work now.

Oh, yeah—YOU were the one making him look like a scumbag. Ugh. He sounds like a real winner.

Seems like a very important and relevant set of skills.

I first heard about it on LiveJournal, probably at least as long ago as that. But I don't know how common the knowledge is.

That was just an example, not the one that contained the slur.

I agree. It wouldn't have killed him to actually act like a mature grown man...I guess. Would it? I guess we'll never know.

GOOD. I read about his behavior and was hoping there might be some consequences. He wouldn't have a job at all if it weren't for fans, so being an asshole to people is really not a wise career move.

It probably depended on what they were addicted to before. A lot of drugs keep your weight down, so, once they're out of your system...

Can it be considered a Freudian slip if you just misread something?

I don't know. I'm skeptical of the stated message. *Maybe* that's what they meant, but my immediate impression was that this was aimed at all the men out there with hate-ons for Hillary Clinton. Sort of a "Yeah, if I were married to her, I'd cheat, too, hurr hurr" type of thing. So I'm not sure this is all that

But only behind someone else's back, 'cause that's how they roll.

Very. Which is, I suppose, what you'd expect from Ashley Madison.

Perfect comment. I absolutely agree.

Me, too.

"very sheltered late bloomer"—yes. I hadn't thought of it in exactly those words, but you're right. She still seems very teenager-y to me.

That's a very insightful comment, and I think you're right. I've seen a lot of "learn to live within your means!" and similar commentary aimed at poor people by those who can't seem to grasp the concept that some people can't afford ANY means. Accepting that it can happen to anyone if they get shit on enough means

That's definitely a possibility, especially if anyone there was difficult to work with (which is something I've heard about Bruce Willis).

Yup. And objecting to poor people being called poor? That's not actually helping anyone.

I liked that aspect of the movie, too, and it's one of the reasons I found her character relatable despite some of her more obnoxious behavior (and also made some of the obnoxious behavior more relatable than it would normally have been).

Yes, exactly! The original tweet doesn't offend me, but the reaction kinda does.
