I was with you up until your parenthetical aside. What does obesity have to do with anything? That seems like such a non sequitur.

Misandric is a stretch, but it does have sexist undertones.
Yes, actually. I bet you didn't expect that answer.
Same, here. I often think people are attractive, but in a passing way, pretty but not making much of an impression. To actually have an interest in them, I need to know about their personality, and it has to be a personality I *like*.
I tried to read that article but my eyes rolled back so far in my head that they almost got stuck.
That's the one.
Not to mention the stress that fat-shaming causes, the physical symptoms of which are—surprise!—often the same as what people like to claim being fat causes.
Actually, this is already a thing: http://www.haescommunity.org/
Oh, I agree. I was just saying it wasn't new, not that everyone should know what it generally means.

I don't completely disagree, but he was hostile to the first person who commented, so it's probably safe to say he didn't like being called out in the first place.
I'd say it's been around at least the last fifteen years or so. I remember running across "pro-ana" and "pro-mia" (anorexia and bulimia, respectively) communities every so often during the heyday of LiveJournal and seeing their "thinspiration" posts full of painfully thin (possibly photoshopped) women.
Yeah. I think if it came down to it, in reality, most wouldn't go for him.
Oh, yeah. I just checked that page out, and there are some pretty gross comments.
Oh, man. I hope so, too, given that description. It's always sad when people go in a direction like that, especially when it seems so preventable.
I love this comment :D
*also waits to see if there's more to this story*
I understand what you mean. There's a sort of uncanny valley thing that happens when someone's features are too pretty/perfect.
I love that answer, especially since it's kind of a rude question. I bet people don't know how to react :P
