You can still totally enjoy the single-player portion of the game and still get to platinum. Unless you absolutely are obsessed with taking cute pictures of the main character in a particular outfit or pose, the rest of the game is still super charming.

I would expect that in a future reality, wars (or the fear of war) will be fought with boring hyerspace missles, like our current nuclear ICBMs.
