Fewer occupants die in SUVs per mile driven. And they have lower occupant insurance injury payouts. Depends on how you define safe. I’ll take less likely to die or be injured when choosing where to put my family.

I’ve seen videos of Miatas and Corvettes flipping. Your point is invalid.

But kiss your catalytic goodbye!

Unfortunately, the anonymity provided by the internet allows people to become the disgusting filth that could never dare to be, or maybe even want to be in person, face to face.

They thought I was just making a mockery of the sport.

I’m so stealing that line.

Reminds me about the questioning for jury duty when I was part of the selected pool. Lawyer asked me if I could render a guilty verdict. Me: “Well there’s the law and then there’s justice. I would do what’s right.”

Good. Ethan Couch got probation for killing four people while under the influence, because the jury was convinced he was simply too wealthy to understand consequences.

I edited for clarification. The hilarious part to me is that this thing is on the better half of a million dollars and they couldn’t figure out a fancy way to get to the roof. So I’m left imagining some dude in a tuxedo climbing the ladder with a table in tow.

I watched the video last night, and you missed out on the rather key observation that the car couldn’t turn left. It made it, but it had to Zoolander its way through the bends. There are a couple moments in particular that would have resulted in a spectacular head-on collision if the road was actually busy.

I was gonna say, this seems pretty damn easy.  Low traffic, few to no intersections, no pedestrians, no to few traffic control devices...

YouTuber CGP Grey gave the FSD beta one of its toughest challenges yet

If it’s half as good as the Brits say the GR Yaris is, it should completely sweep what’s left of the hot hatch market. That said, I’m wary that they can build a Corolla that comes close to the madness that is the rally-homologation Yaris. The GR works because it’s not a Yaris. I wonder if this will drive like a

Full! It’s Full Self Driving!

Full! It’s Full Self Driving! I don’t understand why it’s so hard to grasp. All you need to do is sit back and relax and be far more alert and attentive that you would be while driving the car yourself as it fully drives itself.

Sure, but if I’m not fan of the band why would I wear their tee shirt, if you know what I mean?

I sorta feel like Musk is synonymous with Tesla to a degree that if I’m driving a car with a “T” badge on it, people are going to assume I’m one of the faithful. It’s the equivalent of putting one of those Christian fish on your car; you’re sending a message about your beliefs.

If you need to be an experienced operator to use FSD, how FSD can it be?

People like that are a big reason why I won’t buy a Tesla. No other car company requires me to buy into its CEO’s cult of personality in this way. I don’t know ANY of the CEO of Honda’s political opinions, and if he expressed some he wouldn’t expect Honda buyers to dive in front of him to protect him from criticism.

I’m sure a website named “Teslarati” is going to be unbiased. I don’t understand these Muskoles. Criticism of a beta program (or anything)is a good thing. This is actual feedback which Tesla can use to make their stuff better. The need to defend anything related to his Holy Musk is inconceivable to me.
