I don’t even think he was in my top 5 primary candidates (definitely not top 3), but I’m very glad to have someone who: 1) is experienced; 2) has sense enough to bring in smart, qualified people; 3) is fundamentally decent.

I’m not sure what this says about me and/or the state of our society, but I read through these initiatives and felt this huge sense of pride, like “Yes dammit! This is progress!!!”

I didn’t vote for him in the primary but from what I’ve seen he’s got a decently tight plan together. I’d love to get real universal healthcare insurance on the agenda but I absolutely recognize we need to stop the ship from sinking before we start to run up new sails.

To each their own, but I wholeheartedly disagree with leaving a kid in the car. Especially a 4 year old that’s old enough to hop out and join you. It takes less than a minute for someone to steal a car. Even if you can “see your car and kid,” by the time you react, its too late.
