@bigtimes: Not really, but I have noticed that if I put my phone on my desk in the same place I always used to, I do get service now when I didn't before (unless that's the software misreading the signal)

@2 replies: just dropped my iphone 4 on asphalt. not a scratch, and no reception issues.

Okay, seriously, is there anyone who is actually having the antenna issue? I can't MAKE it happen, even if I try.

@crackel: I refute this claim. Diamond.

@abadpun: He wasn't writing sentences.

@Scott: They put the antenna outside so that they had the ability to pack so much other shit inside. Probably a fair trade off.

@KLanD: Note: If your signal went up on your Omnia, that essentially means it's always down. So instead of not holding it in one specific way, it'd be hold it in only one way.

@konfused: First, you aren't making sense in any traditional manner.

I could totally see a scenario where every apple employee holds their phone a certain way because a long time ago, Steve was seen holding his phone that way. And then they built the antenna assuming everyone held their phone that way. And forgot regular people exist also.

@Drakkim: That'd be true if he hadn't told them where the bug was, and what was going on.

@jepzilla: I'm certain that the researchers who requested high res footage have an idea of how to deal with that issue.

@peteer02: hates geofencing: well, that's extremely biased writing. What the actual e-mail tells us is they aren't sure if they want a document on the server that can be found. What document are they talking about? Why shouldn't it be found? Is it because of some organizational intricacies or are they doing something

@peteer02: hates geofencing: I really have zero context to know what that e-mail means. So do you. It doesn't seem particularly incriminating except that they didn't want certain documents on the server.

@VincentGrey: Slam! That'll show those people using iPhones how dumb they are!

@lostbizzo: There is a difference between a moral stance and a cost/benefit analysis.

I didn't know that Wanda Sykes was in the army.

I've been in cars that have been hit by buses, bikes, and other cars in Beijing several times. I've also had a taxi hit in Cairo, and a moped hit in Vietnam. This is a great article, but I have to go Andras Kiraly on this one.
