Haven’t gotten into the DC stuff, but totally agree with Grimm (and Sleepy Hollow).

Same dude, same. But I try to remind myself he’ll only be little once, only want to play with Dad for so long, and because of the pandemic we just don’t have any other options if we are being responsible. So I do my best to suck it up and play with him. It would be helpful if he wanted to spend time with my wife half…
Its like you have been living in my house for the last 4 months. My little guy will be 4 in October, and all he wants to do is play with Dad.
They are incapable of thinking in terms longer than the 24 hour news cycle they are in. They can’t adopt a strategy that will benefit them long-term if there isn’t an immediate benefit as well.
I think the prequel-prequels set the events surrounding the Butlerien Jhiad about 100,000 years from our present day, not just 10,000, but i may be mistaken as its been several years since i have cracked those open. I know at the start Earth is still inhabited by a mix of machines and men, but the center of power has…
I’m about 6' tall, so I try to judge enough space to lay down between myself and another person :-) doesn’t work for everyone, but its a start.
Only speaking for myself, but i find that i am rapidly thinning those types of friends out of my circle.
It shouldn’t be an arguement though. Unless they are going to drag you out of your house, a firm no thank you should really be the end of it.
I’ll keep an eye out after i get it seasoned. How many coats did you do initially?
Easy-Off oven cleaner to strip down to bare metal and start the seasoning from scratch with flax seed oil. I’m in the middle of the first part.
A friend down the street taped it off HBO in that time period, and we wore out the tape we watched it so many times. Then I didn’t see it for over a decade until stumbled on the DVD in a bargain bin about 15 years ago and immediately bough it. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to watch it without freaking out.
Yeah that make sense. Except for the part about having to get Comcast to remove it from our services....
I have HBO through my cable provider, at i think the same $/month, so does it make more sense to switch over to HBO Max for the added content? Do you still get their live programming? Not a deal breaker, just curious.
My wife and I have a 3 y.o., and don’t have any family nearby or a reliable sitter, so the only time we go to the movies is when we both take a day off from work to go (any Marvel release). After 6-weeks at home now, even if there were 100% effective vaccine tomorrow and the entire population inoculated within 2…
My point was more to cut the author some slack for dropping spoilers on 20-25 year old movies that have been on cable, if not recently, at least at some point in that intervening time. I’d also argue that based on the comments, most of the people who have read the post have already seen it.
Its like 22 years old now, i think the moratorium on spoilers can be lifted.
Please, tell us, is the world still so stupid on May 5th?
It really plays nicely with the bourbon!
I live in the Seattle area, where it has been confirmed to have been spreading in the community since mid-January, so i have heard this a lot and even participated in it myself early on since a rather nasty chest cold came through my office in early to mid February. I’d argue that it was possible, given the location…
It took all of 4 days at home with our 3 y.o. for me to become a regular afternoon cocktail dad. My go-to is a maple bourbon whiskey sour with lime juice and (as the name implies) maple syrup, or a classic margarita, both on the rocks. The 2 oz liquor, 3/4 oz citrus and syrup is a solid ratio.
