Don’t underestimate how comfortable a GTI can be if you’re over 6' tall. I’m only 5'8" but my 6'8" friend couldn’t believe how much legroom & headroom the car had compared to his Sentra and his wife’s Accord. It’s a compact car that makes very efficient use of its interior for great driver comfort.

You’re right. I’m willing to accept some risk (perceived or otherwise) to drive a car like my GTI, but there are tens of thousands of them sold every year with a strong dealer & aftermarket support system. There may be problems, but at least there are enough cars on the road that the solutions become quickly known and

Didn’t even know they offered that in a diesel. A quick search shows they’re listing for ~$30k used with ~100k miles. Too rich for my tastes, but good to know there are midsize trucks out there with diesel engines. I might actually look for one after the market settles down in a couple years. I’d prefer an SUV for my

It’s still cheaper to buy a “legal” TDI Touareg or Q5 and then chop the roof.

It’s included in the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which I think is on sale for ~$50.

Exactly. It’s hard to quantify art direction. Digital Foundry is concerned with the technical aspects of graphical fidelity, and in that respect R&C shines. Though I must say, R&C Rift Apart’s art direction is also fantastic!

I guess I’m lucky enough to live in a region with a LOT of cars (SoCal) so I’ve never needed to travel more than about an hour to find something I’m interested in. I’ve bookmarked lots of cars in NorCal, Nevada or Arizona, but have always been fortunate enough to be in a position to wait for something closer to pop

On average, each vehicle shipped was over 75% complete!

It makes at least a little bit of sense on the Pro4X model - it’s the top of the line version that’s a little harder to come by, so of course people will be willing to spend more for the capability. My dad has an ‘18 Pro4X and it’s an awesome off-roader.

I mean, the article it seems like the demand is for 2019+ used cars. If you widen your search to older vehicles (like I did with a 2014 Audi), then you’re probably right - lots of available vehicles at not unreasonable prices. But many people who would prefer to buy new cars are buying CPO or used cars that still have

Can confirm. My parents owned a 2006 Pilot before giving it to my sister, and I’ve taken it out on some dirt trails to get to some shooting & hunting spots in SoCal. It’s no Jeep, but it’s more than capable of getting me in & out of pretty much anywhere I’d need to take it.  If my sister ever decides to get rid of it,

...which is why they’re trying to start rebranding it now. Contrary to the article it’s not trying to be a Wrangler competitor, but if Honda can shift the perception a little closer to that of a Forester, Grand Cherokee or Bronco Sport to sell more cars, then maybe they can justify moving the next gen even farther in

Agreed 100%

Honestly, no. Until this crazy car market of 2021, I had never really considered crossovers at all. I much prefer sedans/wagons/hatchbacks over their slightly heavier & lifted crossover cousins. However, in this crazy used market, there just aren’t a ton of wagons available and the ones that ARE available are pretty

As someone who just picked up a ‘14 Audi SQ5, I see a lot to like here at first glance. That interior is fantastic, and the value is really impressive. But as I take time to inspect the exterior details (that huge grill, the segmented lights, the funky window behind the C-pillar), I’m less impressed by the design.

CX-5 has one of the best interiors at any price, so that’s not a bad thing...

To a guy that thinks Jeeps break down too often???

If a new Metroid Prime was announced, that probably would have warranted inclusion on the list. While Dread was a very cool announcement, the classic sidescroller genre feels a little ...underwhelming to anyone but diehard Metroid fans.

Came here to say this. In the original Japanese script, Barrett has a much more stoic personality. Even as a teenager I thought Barrett’s representation was a little cringey, but as the story progressed and he had more opportunity to develop, I eventually grew to accept it as “fine”.

Agreed! 2011 GTI owner and 2006 Miata owner here. I’ve always loved Golfs & GTIs for their overall balance of fun, comfort & utility, but the sheer joy of driving an MX-5 is something that everyone has to experience for themselves.  The way the car rotates around the driver in turns is automotive nirvana.
