A Mk6 or Mk7 Golf hatchback or Sportwagen would be an excellent fit for their needs. A 4-door VW Golf would also be a great choice, if they’re especially worried about parking in tight spots. When I bought my 2008 Golf, it was vastly more comfortable on long drives than the Honda Civic, Fit, Mazda3, Scion tC, and…
The Fit is a Good Car™, but it is built to be light, affordable, and reliable. It is not a great highway cruiser, and the HRV, Civic, and Mazda recommended would all be vastly more comfortable for long highway cruises. 6 hours is a long drive, and even a little extra comfort and even a little more reduction in NVH…
Nintendo really needs to start releasing GameBoy, GBA, and (hopefully) N64 and DS titles on the service. These deep cuts just aren’t doing it for me. I know, they’re free, but I haven’t seen anything outside of Mario and Metroid that caught my interest so far.
I think you made the right decision. The V6 base is pretty much a worked over VW engine, while the V8s are 100% Porsche. I may need to look at the 2008-10's again before I decide to buy one. The 2011+ being about 500 pounds lighter sounds appealing, but it’s still heavy.
In my headcanon, Femshep is a redhead (before ME3 made it canon) Spacer, Ruthless, Adept, Renegade, with Shotgun Mastery (ME1) who takes shit from absolutely no one. Romanced Liara, Thane, then Garrus.
The early 2nd Gen S still has the V8, but doesn’t get the true locking differentials that the 1st gens had. I think in 2015/16 it switched to the Turbo. I’ve been window shopping for a used Cayenne over the past several months, and I have a lot of 2011-14 S models with V8s bookmarked. If I can’t find a Diesel, that’s…
Miata as a 3rd car sounds like heaven. My wife and I currently DD a GTI and a Miata. I’m looking at an older Cayenne as a family car in the next year or so, but my wife refuses to let the Miata go (she’s the best!). I’m 100% on board, because I’ll likely end up driving the Miata when maintenance is needed on one of th…
Honestly, I think FF7R did an incredible job of paying tribute to the original while still introducing a surprising amount of depth to the story. If any games deserve the Remake treatment next, they have to be FF6 and Chrono Trigger/Cross.
I’m really enjoying Hades as my first roguelike, and am planning to pick up Returnal (and Ratchet & Clank) when I eventually pick up a PS5. Hopefully by then (2022?) there’s a more robust save/resume feature.
It was a faction specific Scout Rifle (think DMR) that had some really fun perks (Firefly - headshots make explosions; Triple Tap - headshots return ammo to the magazine) that are perfect for taking on bosses and PVE activities.
At least the interiors are pretty nice before they combust.

Note to self: Get a dirt colored car, and it will always look good.
VW did some “special editions” in Yellow and Orange for the Fahrenheit GTI back in the Mk5 years. I also have seen some Nissan Z cars and Toyota TRD vehicles in limited edition colors that are only around for a single model year. I wonder if the fact that these colors are specifically used only on specialty cars that…
Right? Not sure now is the time to mess around with recommendations. The suggestions are pretty sensible, but this is a pretty clear cut “pick the car that just makes you smile” choice.
I don’t own a PS5 yet, but this game (along with Ratchet & Clank) would probably convince me to buy one if it had a save option. My gaming time is limited, so I need to be able to play something in relatively short bursts. Especially if I’m playing something really challenging, I like to take little breaks with more…
You want a car that brings her some joy? Just get a Miata.
Nice Price. At under $20k, this is looking mighty appealing. Jaguar reliability, blah blah blah. Yeah, I’m sure this is going to take a little extra time & money to maintain, but a ~400 horsepower RWD luxury cruiser seems like it’s worth the risk. I’m all for a basic ECU flash on anything that handle it, and a…
