One of the people being suggested as a beneficiary of the bribes for pardons scheme is, unsurprisingly, former Illinois hair helmet Rod Blagojevich. It would be hilarious if he went back to jail for bribing a public official after being pardoned for soliciting bribes as a public official.

I was just wondering about this. If they wait to charge them with anything until Trump is out of office, what are the chances that they’ll land on a pardon for the exact charges? Can you pre-emptively pardon someone for something they haven’t been charged with?
