I saw the movie and thought it was quite powerful. I wonder if people’s distaste over Nate Parker’s grossness and utter douchebaggery is coloring people’s  perception of the film? I put it on par with “Selma,” which, like this movie, is a good, but not great film.

To “everyone else” it’s not a statement. Most people just don’t think so hard about what other people do or don’t do with the faces, hair, clothes, etc. People have rent or mortgages to pay, kids to feel/clothe/educate, health concerns, etc.

Anyone can start a business”qualifications,” or lack thereof won’t stop you.

No one is “shaming” women for wearing make up, eating healthily, working out, or caring about and putting effort into their looks. And no grown adult is unaware that celebrities have trainers, chefs, stylists, and make-up artists.

Ehhhh...I don’t think a college degree is necessary to run a successful company. Plenty of highly successful companies are run by people without college degrees.
