I’ve only heard Bill Oakley on food during his Dough Boys appearance, which was excellent. This first exposure to one of his reviews tells me that he’s a genius because he seems to with my assessment of BK: Usually not worth the calories but their spicy chicken sandwich is great.

It’s a feature as it drives away the young people. Once one’s peers stop calling, the bug makes itself apparent.

Sorry, but she’s not a whistleblower. While it’s true that Trump and his ardent supporters were committed to denying Russia’s [successful] attempts to screw with our elections, the career intelligence and law enforcement people were aware of the truth and doing what they could to counter Russia’s efforts. I've never seen anything good that involves Tyler Perry. Different strokes I guess but his comedies aren't funny and his dramas are offensively regressive.

I’d like a twist on the Walt Simonson classic: Frog Loki, perhaps cursed by a reflected spell.

I’m middle-aged and white AF, like “hey, those veins in your hands are quite green” translucent. There has never been a day for me and mine when “I don’t see color” wasn’t a punchline said by a white racist who doesn’t get the joke.

It’s the money combined with macho manly man bullshit where cruelty is exalted if it can be punishment or “team building.”

Yes, he was trying to be funny. What makes it the most inappropriate is that he's the fucking plaintiff. Someone bringing a lawsuit based on the supposed huge damage done to their business probably should avoid telling dumb jokes on the witness stand.

He's Michael Scott. He thinks he's the funniest boss in the world and took his act on the road.

If that's true, it is entirely unsurprising.

That's the lesson? It's not that business owners shouldn't treat people like shit?

It’s funny that you’re willing to make up a fantasy version of the encounter when the owner’s own daughter said her father was wrong.

You're not alone. I got a double post from an edit.

I lived near a Subway that did its own delivery. It was well before the rise of the big apps and it was pretty good since the delivery fee was reasonable and the prices were the same as going in person. Unfortunately, I think it was a pilot program and they were very inconsistent. One day I would order with no

She would have been picked up (presumably from a babysitter or school - I lost track of the timeline) by cops. It would be standard procedure for a cop hurt on the job.

My first BK was too light on the spicy but they apparently were told that it was an issue and my subsequent two sandwiches were perfect. It's my fave.

I’ve tried all the revamped chicken sandwiches except Popeye’s (no convenient locations) and I, shockingly, think Burger King’s is the best. Honestly, though, they’ve all been good.

All tariffs are stupid, but it's still no reason to root for the corporation. They've made far more money from the tariff than they could possibly lose being fined for not paying it.

No, the issue likely has to do with computer upgrades that result in data loss and incompatibility. It’s also possible that these old documents never even made it to a backed-up networked system. They may only be available in dusty file cabinets.
