Not really. Academy members as a whole likely don’t even see every nominee for Best Picture. That said, I think your point is still valid because they’d be more likely to know the people involved in making UK films. There’s a lot of cross-pollination between the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand in the TV/movie

It’s so blatant (it took my lily-white ass about 10 seconds to see the problem, and I’ll bet most people got it quicker) that I truly suspect it was posted deliberately in order to get a reaction.

The biggest problem is people who won’t say no to TV reporters.

No doubt. This isn’t somebody pulled over and taking a highway nap while on a long trip (I’ve totally done that). Pulling over to take a nap between a local restaurant and home screams intoxication. His cops knew what was up and gave him a pass.

This seems impossible. I’ve been assured by Brits on the Internet that they weren’t even aware Meghan was anything but lily white.

I agree. As much as I’d like to say the neighbor should have gone over and checked things out, the chance of interrupting a dangerous situation or just making an enemy of a neighbor (“Mind your own business!”) is pretty high at 2 o’clock in the morning. This is supposed to be why we have trained police officers.

I think he suffers from that form of dementia that doesn’t directly impact mental functioning but damages the filter when it comes to saying what one is thinking. In other words, he’s always been a corrupt, evil asshole but now he’s putting it right in the open.

You’re not anti-cop? I certainly am. I’m as white as white gets (well, without having a special name for my skin color, anyway) and if I had my way in 10 years we’d be completing the process of firing every officer employed today while the European nation of choice (realistically, the lowest bidder) completely took

Henry Weinhard's was my favorite but I haven't had it in years since most places don't sell it by the individual bottle anymore. A&W works just fine when I occasionally crave that flavor.

Yeah, Christians should do their thing...in church, in private, maybe in private businesses that love that bullshit. Hell, do that Christian thing in the streets if you simply must.

Well said. And the reason the next cop won’t think of Amber Guyger when s/he murders an innocent, unarmed black person is this: If Guyger had been on duty and gone to the wrong apartment while serving a warrant (for example) and shot an innocent, unarmed black man in his own living room, she would never have been

That or a knee-jerk police apologist, willing to excuse every cop who fires their gun, no matter the situation.  IOW, yeah, hopefully he’s just a troll.

I’m sure you have a list of the “other items” she used to perform first aid in place of the items in the backpack she literally put down next to the body of the man she murdered.

She had a backpack with first aid stuff and didn't use any of it. Not even gauze on a bullet hole. Are you still operating only on the information featured by the media before the trial?

That was never an issue. Holland’s controlling deal was with Sony. He has always been contractually available to be Spider-Man in other Sony movies.

Is that what he gave up in that movie? I thought it was his dignity.

Tim’s Jalapeno is definitely my jam. They seem to have found the formula for making a kettle type chip without crossing into being so stiff they seem stale.

I really liked the Flamin’ Hot Lay’s (no pickle), but for some reason they didn’t make the jump to permanence. I liked it the best out of the various Flamin’ Hot products.

I recommend strongly against the Ruffles Jalapeno Ranch. I found them not just lacking in spice (seriously, you could serve these blind to someone who hates all spicy heat and they may never identify any heat at all, let alone identify jalapeno flavor) but just plain terrible. Truly the bottom of the Ruffles barrel.

If I had to guess, the Mockingbird/Hunter pilot was probably okay but also probably too much like AoS. I liked both characters a lot but I didn’t see the point of doing a superspy spinoff of a superspy show.
