As far as I am aware they are just timed ones. HOWEVER they haven’t made a game since the Epic Games Store came out. Who knows if that will that be true in the future...

Interesting, Yakuza 7 had me install to the SSD then it had an upgrade patch. Maybe if it has a day one patch like those two games it got confused?

Kinda worded badly, per Microsoft you can plug in an external drive you are already using for the Xbox One and plug it into the Series X-S. OTHERWISE if it was never used it needs to be reformatted first.
