I’m not clear on which part of your reply contains the justification that video games should be covered as a sport on Deadspin.

Yes, it has probably been a year since Kotaku made the decision to cover mainstream esports news, they even made a featured announcement.

Nice to see SEA teams finally win something, the wait was long.

Wow, the Netflix anime series are turning out to be fantastic.

Jason, you need a better keyboard!

Yeah, I mean, those miners are buying up cards to generate next to no practical value. It’s kind of a bummer.

Just like a number of other Valve projects, the Steam Machine probably got canned without an announcement. Valve tends to do that.

It’s basically a pirate themed NMS with multiplayer. Not that such is an impressive feat anyway.

There’s nothing wrong with having different views of the game. People play the same game differently and thus get various amounts of value out of it. However, majority of the people did not enjoy NMS, which explains the overwhelmingly negative response.

To be honest, it wasn’t even a decent game at launch. Not trying to attack Sean Murray here, I don’t really care much for the anger directed at him, but NMS launched as a $60 game with only around 3 to 4 hours of content. That is not decent.

He probably meant esports, and if that is the case, then yea, a good spectating tool is key to competitive gaming, otherwise, very few would want to watch them.

Why? As unfortunate as her passing might be, I think that altering the original story in an illogical way would only show disrespect to the work she had done. Do you think that voice actors or actresses would be happy to have their characters erased as a result of real life, personal events?

Platinum Frieza is next.

It has a nice ending. The episode had me worried a little when its title had “Farewell Goku” in it.

Who knows? Maybe the new Nintendo President has a new strategy or marketing style? Remember, the leadership change happened around a year after the Wii U Smash Bros came out.

No idea if it’s the same game. Sakurai tweeted out that he has been working on this in secret, and it hasn’t reached a stage where he can show off content.

It’s baffling that this game costs the same as Ni No Kuni 2.

You don’t actually own a “town”, you simply start at sort of a “trade hub”. There’s an NPC selling treasure maps and quests, you buy them, follow the map, fetch the item. That’s 90% of what you do in the game.

There isn’t much that can be done in multiplayer as well. Everything that can be done in sea of thieves, you can do in minecraft. Roleplay etc. There are like 5 minor upgrades to get in this game, the shovel, the gun, the light, and cosmetics. You run around digging up chests to get points...to upgrade your cosmetics.

I’m pretty sure that this game has only around 2 hours worth of content. Anything on top of that is the fun created by players themselves. It’s horrible as a single player game, and unimpressive as a multiplayer game. Not sure why it’s $60.
