Wait, a Destiny post not written by Jason? Is this real?

I agree that Japan has less of a need for such a service since it is the country of origin for these content, but I also see the possibility of such a service growing huge enough to draw in Japanese consumers. I believe that by offering discounts, lower prices (due to the low digital distribution cost), and other

There has to be a way to sort out international digital ownership and regional distribution licensing of printed copies. The problem probably lies in the old licensing deals they keep signing up to.

Digitisation is the way to go. Build a “Steam for Mangas”, and throw in some bonus digital items/physical draws, and you have a winner. It even makes money from untapped foreign markets!

“it would be somewhat of a problem if the character was shot with a stray bullet or died in an explosion.”

Yeah, sure. Extremely seasoned Diablo III players can make it to the very end game within days too. Doesn’t mean that everybody knows how to do it or has the means to.

They do the streaming like it’s a job, they leave it or shut it off when they need to use the bathroom. When the streaming time is over, they stop.

The Dota 2 event’s sales hit close to $100 million per year, Gabe knows which wallet is thicker.

So, from your sarcasm, I see that you are trying to imply that I was explaining the trend of watching these content in order to defend myself from an accusation that I possibly thought was aimed at me.

You don’t necessarily have to tip. Streamers have sponsors, they run adverts on their channels, so the very fact that you are watching the content generates marketing value for those brands, and those brands pay the streamers for their marketing services.

Well, you can consider seeing it from another angle. Some people watch these streams the same way they watch tv shows. Interaction is not a necessity. There are all kinds of viewers, and I think that you should not generalise or subscribe to certain stereotypes.

I sometimes do watch Twitch streams, I have a laugh at them, and then I switch them off. I enjoy those content the same way I enjoy tv shows. No attachments whatsoever.

I think that you are probably understanding this wrong. Streaming is just part of the entertainment business. These people are much like idols, except that streamers play games or talk about stuff (and are amateurs).

You can upgrade the OS to full Windows 10 for free within a year.

Man, it’s always about someone else for you, isn’t it? “You are dishonest”, “Nothing you said justifies it”, “I am here to change the way things are” blah blah. How about you learn not to be a bigot and respect other people’s wishes?

It is reasonable if people find their monies’ to be worth it, so I don’t get why you are being so upset about it. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it.

They were probably willing to sacrifice bits of their profits in order to keep the sales momentum going. See, if they are able to hit a good sales figure, that would generate positive PR for them and instill confidence in investors/consumers.

That term was not used by Nintendo, it was used by an external analyst.

The price of the Switch might still be a little steep for some, this would be pretty fitting for kids. Also, since the 3DS line has some leftover demand, they might as well release a newer and cheaper version to expend the last bit of demand before abandoning it.

But why does the player have to be Japanese? A potential role would be resistance groups fighting off the invaders, as I have mentioned,
