Weird, I had the exact opposite experience. It’s lasted for ~4-5 months now, and works decently well at everything. Speaker loud enough for riding along, light is bright enough to be seen (probably equal to your $20-30 light from a bike shop), and the battery pack aspect of it works in a pinch.
