Uh . . . what are you even talking about here? Like, there is so much that is confusing here. People have sex literally all the time in Joss Whedon works, with no intent of procreation. Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya, Zoe/Wash, Buffy/Riley, Buffy/Spike, and on and on and on. And in the few instances where that's portrayed

I still don't really understand the criticism for Buffy as being an outdated model of a strong female lead. She's multi-dimensional, she's responsible, she has no shortage of agency, she's allowed to be both vulnerable and resilient in equal measure.

My preference would be for Charise Carnes, aka Knightfall. I really enjoyed that arc of the comics, and it would be nice to see some new blood in the movies.

Alright, I can tolerate a good deal of Whedon snark, but this one is just weird to me.

I actually worked on this movie! I was a production assistant. It would be the first (and most likely only) time I'd ever get to see my name in the credits on a big screen.

Wait, no new episodes for a while? So the wiki page isn't accurate when it says that we got a new episode coming on the 23rd?

Wait, have Ruby and Sapphire never kissed? I mean, I know for certain to Ruby has dipped Sapphire and -very- sensually kissed her neck, which almost feels like it's a few steps past gentle pecks.

I think it has to be Griffin for me. Every video that he touches on Polygon is absolute a-game. His Pokemon X run-through nearly killed me from laughing, and his pacifist World of Warcraft videos are shaping up to be very funny as well. He just has an incredible sense of comedic timing.

Can we take a moment to acknowledge how amazing Zach Callison was in this episode? The moment where his head was in Rose's lap and his voice cracks had me in full-on ugly cry mode, and I stayed there through the rest. He's been reliably good, but he's been turning in his A-game for at least the last two seasons.

Oh, I know what happened to make them drop the Ultimate Alliances series! They based the story on Civil War, but decided that Civil War wasn't even close to stupid enough.

I'm only about fifteen hours in, but of all the terms I'd use to describe XV, self-serious isn't one of them.

So . . . was anyone else really reminded of Vicar Amelia from Bloodbourne by Blue Diamond's sloped posture, soft mumble, and shrouded visage? Cause my roommate and I turned to each other and vocalized that comparison at roughly the same moment.

Goddamnit, same.

Anyone who has actually read the books willing to give me a breakdown on how wildly this series is differing? I've heard . . . mixed reviews on the series, and some of my least favorite turns from last series where the sudden lurches that the show seemed to take when it remembered that it had a source material to

All I want to do
is see her turn into . . .

I haven't loved any of her albums since The Forgotten Arm (which came out at exactly the point in my life to make it one of the most important albums in the development of my musical tastes, even if it's not her best work) - so I really hope that this one will get me back in her corner. I used to list her as my

How far does the season go into the books? I'm really curious to see what an adaption of the EXCEEDINGLY grim last two ones actually looks like, what sort of compromises they might have to make. And maybe whether they'll expand on an ending that was decidedly not an ending.

Is that why Winter Soldier and Civil War are the best Marvel movies, then? Because the quips die off towards the end, and the villains are a formerly sympathetic murderous force of nature and a (SPOILER) grieving war widower, respectively?

I didn't think Wacraft was that bad. There was the beating heart of something genuinely decent in there, let down by a scatter-shot production focus and an entire encyclopedia worth of proper nouns. But when the movie focused on the Orcs or the goofy, puppy-looking mage boy, I was pretty engaged. Focusing on Diet Ned

I genuinely don't know what other show you're going to watch on TV that has an alien war veteran singing a mournful tune about her feelings of despondency following the death of her lesbian lover/commanding officer, and her resentment at being required to raise said woman's child after her passing.
